Thesen Islands features state of the art security which uses a mix of technologies including but not limited to artificial intelligence, thermal imaging, biometric scanning, access control, guarding with K9 support as well as a riot response unit and boat patrols, to mitigate security risks.
Camera networks provide a virtual barrier around the perimeter, with thermal cameras being able to detect and identify various shapes and movement.
24-hour security monitoring is provided to the estate. The service is enhanced by the excellent working relationships with SAPS and our security service providers, all of whom provide a pivotal role in the overall security solution, the primary objective of which is the safety of all residents.
The safety and well-being of residents is a subject of continuous evaluation and refinement by the Thesen Islands Homeowners Association.
Vehicle and most pedestrian traffic are routed through the main Gatehouse entrance which is manned around the clock. All access requires the use of biometric verification.
State-of-the-art cameras are strategically arranged at appropriate locations and linked to the on-site control room.
All watercraft using the waterways require a boat decal and the waterway entrances are monitored by CCTV.
Patrols (vehicle, foot and bicycle) are conducted day and night. A motorised boat is used to patrol the waterways. Residences are linked to the Gatehouse Control Room via an intercom system which also allows residents to communicate with each other.
