The Clubhouse is situated on the edge of the parkland. In true New Urbanism style, it has been painted in vibrant colours to make it stand out as a communal focus point. It consists of an airy, glazed gathering space which, when required, can be opened to incorporate the wraparound covered verandah.
This is the scene for educational talks as well as social gatherings.
Additional components around the central courtyard house the Islands’ administration, a boardroom, and a fully fitted kitchen. The buildings are surrounded by landscaped gardens and ample parking is provided. For a nominal sum, Thesen Islanders can book the facility for private social functions.
The kiddies playground adjacent to the clubhouse is always in demand. The wooden apparatus is colourfully painted and children can choose from swings, see-saws, slides and jungle gyms while their parents or minders relax at the benches and tables provided or play outdoor chess.
